Kerri Shomette, PhD. Chairman, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Kerri G. Shomette is the Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer for the Company. Dr. Shomette is a highly accomplished and self-motivated individual with over a decade of demonstrated executive management experience in such diverse sectors of business as venture capital, consulting, non-profit organizations, gerontology, developmental neuropsychology and academia.

Since the establishment of Champion Investments, Inc., Dr. Shomette has served as an integral part of the Company’s core development, unique business model and investor relations programs. Based on her exemplary track record of success, and expertise in national networking, fund raising and communications, the Company considers her to be an invaluable asset in the overall investor relations efforts of the Company.

Since 2007, Dr. Shomette has been a Managing Director of AmeriFinancial, LLC, a private investment, venture capital and advisory firm with offices in Houston and Rowlett, Texas. Her responsibilities consist of working with start-up or early-stage entrepreneurs to fully develop and accurately document their plans, business models and operating strategies, as well as their fund raising activities. Dr. Shomette has played a major role in the development and growth of the life sciences division of this organization, with a distinct focus on medical devices, prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals and healthcare services.

Prior to this, from 2005 to 2007, Dr. Shomette served in the role of Executive Director for Partnerships for Aging in Manhattan, Kansas, a not-for-profit organization recognized as the largest regional gerontology association in the United States. Dr. Shomette led the firm’s national strategy to educate the public on aging issues and connect consumers to the network of national, state or community organizations who could assist or provide resources to an aging population. Under her direction and guidance, Dr. Shomette developed a platform for annual national conferences that generated as many as 10,000 attendees, maintained a lifetime membership program that actively encompassed, not just individuals nationwide, but business entities in over 21 states. In addition, Dr. Shomette served as the Editor-in-Chief of Connections for an Ageless Society, the organization’s magazine that was published on a quarterly basis.

From 2001 to 2005, Dr. Shomette enjoyed a successful career with Kansas State University, a land grant institute established in 1863 and located in Manhattan, Kansas. She performed the duties of Extension Aging Specialist for the State of Kansas and the Department of Agriculture. Her responsibilities consisted of the development, implementation and direct oversight of programs for the elderly, lead researcher and was the legislative liaison in the state of Kansas for the elderly. Dr. Shomette gained not only state but also national recognition for her elderly caregiving programs, as well as her publications that focused on a triadic team approach for family caregivers.

Dr. Shomette accomplished notable achievements such as the youngest nominated fellow for Partnerships for Aging, member of the US legislative task force committees on aging, national spokesperson for National Family Caregiver’s Association and host of a monthly call-in radio talk show for Kansas caregivers. She also worked with such strategic partners as the AARP, the Kansas Department of Aging, the National Institute of Aging, the Alzheimer’s Association, the National Parkinson’s Foundation, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Dr. Shomette received her Bachelor of Science in Experimental Psychology and her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Neuropsychology from Texas Tech University, located in Lubbock, Texas. She also performed post-graduate work in the area of gerontology, specifically Alzheimer’s, Lewey Body Dementia and Parkinson’s, with an additional emphasis on the caregiving of the elderly.

Dr. Shomette will be responsible for the creation, implementation and management all of the Company’s communications, including investor relations and communications media, advertising, internal publications and public relation functions. She will also be held accountable for the proper information given to the financial community, the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies.

Mr. Morgan is responsible for the overall vision of the Company and will continue overseeing the investment sector, investor relations and financial health of the Company.
